When developers and their contractors have control over the connection and disconnection of their individual lots, it adds value to the incoming owners corporation.
With WINconnect, the entire electricity feed is metered by a gate meter while sub-meters measure occupant and common area consumption using the latest smart interval metering technology. Abiding by strict AEMC rules and AER guidelines, WINconnect’s 500+ bulk supply networks turn over $150m worth of power every year.
For high-rise developers, this means infrastructure cost savings and a low-cost power proposition to purchasers. We understand a developer’s need to maintain ongoing relationships with investors, so to be able to reference positive, cost-saving schemes like an embedded network and energy on-selling is invaluable in building trust and rapport.
In instances where solar is required, we are able to fund the installation of the photovoltaic panels. We are able to fund the centralised hot water plant and metering infrastructure.
As an energy market participant we have access to the market settlement system (MSATS). We are also holders of an Australian Financial Securities License.
With a WINconnect embedded network there is no need for developers opening multiple electricity accounts for apartments under construction and accruing daily services charges.
Once we connect permanent power, the builder’s electrical contractor has full control of the site with no need for “truck appointments” with the local distribution company. Our team of project engineers will ensure that meters are delivered and install on time every time.
AQUA Connect is our centralised hot water solution. Our internal hydrology experts help developers optimise their serviced hot water requirements with plants from leading manufacturers.
With capabilities to build, own, operate and manage the centralised plant for bulk hot water dispatch, WINconnect removes any risk to the owners corporation.
We offer flexible investment options ; we can either fund the plant or operate it on behalf of the building owner. In either case, we apply the principles of user pays cost apportionment.
Hot water meters are supplied by WINconnect and installed by an on-site plumbing contractor in common area hatches adjacent to each apartment entrance for easy and accurate readings of serviced hot water. Energy used for the serviced hot water is then charged to the end-user.
Fair Air is our cost apportionment process to equitably charge for centralised air conditioning. VRF (variable refrigerant flow) and VRV (variable refrigerant volume) are becoming popular technologies for getting condensers off balconies. But the energy costs need to be equitably recovered. WNconnect can interrogate the plant management system to accurately determine usage per apartment. Our engineers can measure the energy used to heat and cool each apartment. Our billing services department created a usage based invoice and handles payment and receipting.
More and more buildings are connected to NBN fibre to the basement. ReadyNetGo is our retail internet offering providing consumers with a seamless move-in experience. We supply apartments with a modem and offer a free start-up account. The service that ReadyNetGo have sourced is based on high quality, low contention internet.
Where appropriate, we also offer subsidised WiFi coverage for common areas.
"As an experienced developer, we have used WINconnect on a couple of our projects. We appreciate WINconnect's professionalism and integrity as they added extra value to the experience of the key stakeholders including apartment owners and the Owners Corporation. We would recommend WINconnect to developers wishing to save on utility costs and time in construction."Neil Dong - VIMG
“We have partnered with Winconnect to provide Embedded networks on two of our flagship projects in Brisbane. Winconnect’s flexible and professional approach resulted in a positive outcome for all involved”Scott Macgregor - Consolidated Properties
“As a local developer in Melbourne for nearly 19 years, it is essential for us to partner with organisations that know the regulatory landscape. There is no doubt that WINconnect pride themselves on compliance and governance. We want our purchasers to feel at home in all of our future developments so we don’t want them to be locked into an inappropriate energy deal. We respect the openness and transparency of WINconnect. It is a pleasure to work with them and they make our life much easier.”Peter Hu - JD Group
“WINconnect are involved in all our development projects across Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane. The fact that WINconnect has project engineers in all states is a real plus and adds to their professional approach, professional staff and attention to regulatory requirements. We also appreciate that they have a centre of excellence in hydrology and hot water and their constant development of new products tailored to suit the needs of the developer is a major benefit.”Vijay Thiru - Asian Pacific Group
