When developers and their contractors have control over the connection and disconnection of their individual lots, it adds value to the incoming owners corporation.
With WINconnect, the entire electricity feed is metered by a gate meter while sub-meters measure occupant and common area consumption using the latest smart interval metering technology. Abiding by strict AEMC rules and AER guidelines, WINconnect’s 800+ bulk supply networks deliver benefits to all stakeholders.
For high-rise developers, this means infrastructure cost savings and a low-cost power proposition to purchasers. We understand a developer’s need to maintain ongoing relationships with investors, so to be able to reference positive, cost-saving schemes like a community energy network and energy on-selling is invaluable in building trust and rapport.
In instances where solar is required, we are able to fund the installation of the photovoltaic panels enabling us to deliver microgrid solutions with battery storage. We are able to fund the centralised hot water plant and metering infrastructure.
As an energy market participant we have access to the market settlement system (MSATS). We are also holders of an Australian Financial Securities License.
Services

With a WINconnect community energy network there is no need for developers opening multiple electricity accounts for apartments under construction and accruing daily services charges.
Once we connect permanent power, the builder’s electrical contractor has full control of the site with no need for “truck appointments” with the local distribution company. Our team of project engineers will ensure that meters are delivered and install on time every time.

AQUA Connect is our centralised hot water solution. Our internal hydrology experts help developers optimise their serviced hot water requirements with plants from leading manufacturers.
With capabilities to build, own, operate and manage the centralised plant for bulk hot water dispatch, WINconnect removes any risk to the owners corporation.
We offer flexible investment options ; we can either fund the plant or operate it on behalf of the building owner. In either case, we apply the principles of user pays cost apportionment.
Hot water meters are supplied by WINconnect and installed by an on-site plumbing contractor in common area hatches adjacent to each apartment entrance for easy and accurate readings of serviced hot water. Energy used for the serviced hot water is then charged to the end-user.

Fair Air is our cost apportionment process to equitably charge for centralised air conditioning. VRF (variable refrigerant flow) and VRV (variable refrigerant volume) are becoming popular technologies for getting condensers off balconies. But the energy costs need to be equitably recovered. WINconnect can interrogate the plant management system to accurately determine usage per apartment. Our engineers can measure the energy used to heat and cool each apartment. Our billing services department created a usage based invoice and handles payment and receipting.
