Queenslanders are currently experiencing extreme weather, and this is wreaking havoc on the electricity network. The last few days have seen power outages due to sever storms in Queensland’s Southeast, with reporting’s of  more than 265,000 lightning strikes recorded during Sunday’s storms and leaving almost 50,000 homes without power.

With current reports of a heatwave hitting over the coming week it is expected to see electricity usage reach a record high. If you experience a blackout, please contact the distributor in your area to report the power outage and for additional information about expected restoration.
